NIKE, Inc. Names New Leader for   Latin America NIKE, Inc. (NYSE: NKE) announced today that effective Dec. 1, Carl Grebert, currently the VP, GM of the Global Jordan Brand, will become the company’s new VP, GM of its Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA) geography. In the last year-and-a-half, Grebert has led Jordan’s global product engines, marketing, merchandising and category GM teams for the brand, helping reset the business and marketplace for the next phase of growth. “Carl and Ann are both seasoned Nike veterans who will continue to drive growth and accelerate our consumer direct offense. Bimbo, Nestle join battle against food waste in Latin America, Caribbean The Inter-American Development Bank (I.D.B.) has brought together food and technology companies to fight food waste in Latin America and the Caribbean. According to the organization, more than 127 million tons of food per year goes unused in the region while nearly 42 million residents grapple with undernutrition. IBD’s #SinDesperdicio (#NoWaste) initiative seeks to bring better public policies and innovative outreach to the area with help from Grupo Bimbo, Nestle, Coca-Cola Co., Dow Chemical, the FEMSA Foundation, IBM and Oxxo. Nissan set up new business unit in Latin America for better connect with 34 countries Nissan has announced the creation of a new business unit in Latin America to better meet the needs of local customers in 34 countries in the region. The new unit will have a team of experts working with commercial partners (importers) in each of these Latin American countries to consolidate Nissan's presence and ensure the delivery of high quality standards for product, customer service and after sales service. Ricardo Rodríguez, who has 25 years of experience in Nissan in various key functions at the regional level, is the new managing director of this unit that will operate similar to Nissan's affiliates in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru.
